Worship
At Christ Street Fellowship, we believe that “Worship” means to declare worth, to attribute worth to God as we give Him praise for Who He is and the sacrifice He made so that we can find fellowship and come into relationship with Him. We recognize that He is the One true God – the only God, and all that we have, and the salvation that He provides through a personal relationship with His Son, Jesus Christ is the basis for all praise and adoration.
"You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light"
- 1 Peter 2:9 NIV
Worship involves our entire relationship with God: our words, our attitudes, and our actions. God wants worship not only through our lips, but He also desires that the innermost recesses of our hearts be filled with worship for Him. God wants our worship to be sincere — He wants to be the most important thing in our lives and that is why we start out each of our Sunday morning services with a worship set of contemporary Christian music. This allows the worshipper’s heart to focus on God’s grace, His mercy, and the un-merited blessings He has placed in our lives. We believe that when we collectively worship God, and as we seek Him through the act of worship, our hearts are open to hear His voice, to feel His presence and to realize His will for living a life pleasing to Him.
REFRESH SUNDAY
Six times during the year we set aside as a Refresh Sunday. During these special Sundays we shorten our normal worship service to one hour to allow time after for focused prayer and ministry as we wait on the Holy Spirit. If you are interested in joining us in person, the next service that will be followed by a Refresh worship time will be held on February 11th, 2024.
